Sew

Its Been Too Long

17th September 2018

The months have sped by since my last post, I feel disappointed as I have not kept up with my blog but I must admit life has gotten on top of me. Since my last post I have started a new job and have done some travelling in my time off, which has meant less time to sew.

Gone are the days when I could enjoy driving around discovering Islamabad’s random fabric and craft shops. I kept saying to myself β€œonce I settle into a routine and get used to the early mornings I will schedule in time to work on my site and my sewing, turns out I only really managed one of these things.

Despite my absence I had been inspired to sew quite a bit for my trip to Barbados for carnival (Cropover) back in August. I went on a slight sewing frenzy making sure I had different bikinis for each of the beach or boat parties I was going to attend. I think by the end I was bikini mad as 2 hours before leaving for the airport I was still sewing up a pair of bikini bottoms (I never knew my hands could work so fast!)

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to document all my bikinis worn in Barbados but I will try my best to upload them in another post when the weather is less gloomy and there are no peeping Toms eyeing up my roof! (every time I step foot on my roof there is a man conveniently doing some sort of work on our neighbour’s roof)

I have included a few pictures of bits and bobs i did document over the summer. Enjoy
