So I have officially moved and I’m so excited that I now have my own creative space to work in. Like seriously this would never have been possible living in London in this day and age. I guess there are some perks to becoming a trailing spouse!
I have literally never had such a decent amount of space to do what I want with, so this is definitely going to be an interesting project and my partner will be so happy I am not cluttering up the living room with my sewing scraps. His words were very reminiscent of my mum’s when I was living at home- “Kezra why is your mess all over the floor? what if people decided to come round!? why do you have to do this down here”.
I laugh about it now but my issue is that I either like company or watching TV while sewing/ crafting, its no fun otherwise. So my partner bought a TV for the room, his obvious ploy to keep my mess out of the living room (but i’m not complaining 🙂
My sewing/craft room is not complete yet, some decent storage draws and caddys are needed to organise all my bits and pieces and I have been scratching my head about how I am going to hang up my pegboard and find hooks for it but that’s a task for another time. Right now I am happy that I have a basic set up and will be working over the next few months to make it more cozy and inviting. I already want to spend all my time in there, once its all complete people might have to lure me out with cake so that I actually see the outside world.
If you have any tips or tricks on how to make the most out of your crafting/sewing space feel free to share in the comments.
